Labor Day in north Texas was glorious. Mid to high 80's. We were lulled into thinking that fall was finally on the way. Wrong! Fall doesn't arrive in Texas until October or November. One week later, it's winter.

My last day after 37 years and 9 months was 12/31/11. I am so enjoying not dragging my butt out of bed at 5:30 in the morning; not having ravenous alligators stacked at my door snarling for their pound of flesh;not dealing with all the people with their hands out saying, "Gimmie." I'd like to publish some of my writing and I'm contemplating the possibility of becoming a freelance copy editor. I'm married and have a grown son and daughter. They have blessed me with a grandson and a grandaughter. I'm a native Californian who got lost and wound up in Illinos, then migrated south to Texas. Hallelujah!

WOW! I go out of town for a few days, don't check in and look what happens - Nan goes nuts - - Two posts in Two days!! And the world didn't come to an end..... As far as the temp. goes - it's still over 100 in Vegas.... I'll be glad to get back home.. Have missed your "Wanderings" Great to see you back!
