And you think you're having a bad hair day? I went out the back door Saturday morning and found this guy right at eye level. I went back inside to get my camera and when I came back, he was still there. It was relatively cool (for Texas in the summer) and he seemed to be pretty sluggish. I think he stayed with us for a couple of hours. He's a pretty good size critter.

My last day after 37 years and 9 months was 12/31/11. I am so enjoying not dragging my butt out of bed at 5:30 in the morning; not having ravenous alligators stacked at my door snarling for their pound of flesh;not dealing with all the people with their hands out saying, "Gimmie." I'd like to publish some of my writing and I'm contemplating the possibility of becoming a freelance copy editor. I'm married and have a grown son and daughter. They have blessed me with a grandson and a grandaughter. I'm a native Californian who got lost and wound up in Illinos, then migrated south to Texas. Hallelujah!

Actually, he's shedding his skin. I understand that it itches a lot.
