My last day after 37 years and 9 months was 12/31/11. I am so enjoying not dragging my butt out of bed at 5:30 in the morning; not having ravenous alligators stacked at my door snarling for their pound of flesh;not dealing with all the people with their hands out saying, "Gimmie." I'd like to publish some of my writing and I'm contemplating the possibility of becoming a freelance copy editor. I'm married and have a grown son and daughter. They have blessed me with a grandson and a grandaughter. I'm a native Californian who got lost and wound up in Illinos, then migrated south to Texas. Hallelujah!

The animals look pretty mellow, except for the gator. I was reading recently how a chimpanzee used to collect rocks when the zoo was closed, then throw them at spectators when the zoo opened.
That chimp has something in its hand, but I'm assuming it isn't a rock.
Great pictures!
