I had something I was going to write about, but no sooner had I sat down at the computer than my mind went blank. I mean zip, zero, nada, zilch and on and on. Not even a glimmer of what I meant to write. So...I guess I'll just have to chalk it up to a senior moment. Maybe I'll remember later and then I'll have something to post for tomorrow.

My last day after 37 years and 9 months was 12/31/11. I am so enjoying not dragging my butt out of bed at 5:30 in the morning; not having ravenous alligators stacked at my door snarling for their pound of flesh;not dealing with all the people with their hands out saying, "Gimmie." I'd like to publish some of my writing and I'm contemplating the possibility of becoming a freelance copy editor. I'm married and have a grown son and daughter. They have blessed me with a grandson and a grandaughter. I'm a native Californian who got lost and wound up in Illinos, then migrated south to Texas. Hallelujah!

You have to take senior moments in good humor. This morning I looked our into our driveway and saw that I'd left the hatch open on our car all night. I opened the back of our Saturn to look for something in there last night, and obviously forgot to close it.
