I've decided that taking out the trash and doing laundry are probably the most thankless tasks around the house. When you stop to think about it. you no more than empty all the wastebaskets, take the dumpsters to the curb, and then there's magically more. Same thing with laundry. You empty the laundry hamper and turn around and there's more dirty clothes.

My last day after 37 years and 9 months was 12/31/11. I am so enjoying not dragging my butt out of bed at 5:30 in the morning; not having ravenous alligators stacked at my door snarling for their pound of flesh;not dealing with all the people with their hands out saying, "Gimmie." I'd like to publish some of my writing and I'm contemplating the possibility of becoming a freelance copy editor. I'm married and have a grown son and daughter. They have blessed me with a grandson and a grandaughter. I'm a native Californian who got lost and wound up in Illinos, then migrated south to Texas. Hallelujah!

I always thought my wife does more laundry than she should. I can wear the same clothes more than one day, heck more than two if the weather is right. She doesn't agree.
